Leveraging on the vest amount of knowledge and know-how derived from Human Genome Projects (HGP), International HapMap Project and other projects, Acecgt is taking this opportunity to translate the science into practice in the fast growing markets covering Hong Kong, China and Asia.

LOGO DESIGN CONCEPT

Acecgt’s group mission is to bring closer to the people the power of life science technology to become healthier individuals and to prolong individuals’ healthy life expectancies. They are very into DNA and technology, so that it’s reflected in their name Acecgt [pronounced as A,C,G,T]. As we all know, A, C, G and T are the essential building blocks of DNA and it holds many secrets of life.

Hexagonal shape is used as the basic element of the logo, it represents their business model is built upon the spectrum of six technology areas - (1) Stem cell regeneration biology, (2) Personalized and preventive medicine, (3) Medical molecular diagnosis, (4) Individualized diets, (5) Health and wellness, (6) Healthcare technology. Designing with negative space, the entire graphic of “ace” is visually connected by the silhouette of DNA helix.

The mS9 DNA Colorectal Cancer Screening Test is intended for detecting the presence of methylated Septin 9 (mS9) DNA in the cancer patient blood, which is associated with cancerous cells of colon cancer present within the body. There is an increased level of methylated Septin 9 DNA and cells circulating in the blood of cancer patients compared to healthy controls and this can be used as a useful biomarker for colon cancer detection.

The test was designed to specifically detect the mS9 DNA in blood plasma and serves as an early warning indicator that further confirmation with colonoscopy will be necessary. Screening means examining individual without symptoms in order to detect disease or find individual at increased risk of disease.

ABOUT

Within the healthcare industry, there are many different moving parts, with patients, doctors, hospitals, caregivers, and pharmaceutical organizations all looking to achieve the same goal – a better, healthier lifestyle for everyone. Technology has provided a more efficient way of collating important data for personalized healthcare, allowing professionals to work more closely with individuals and resulting in a more cohesive network. This is being dubbed as Healthcare 4.0.

Through the MODA app, subscribers can connect with professional coaches who can learn the intricacies of an individual’s diet and keep track of their daily exercise routine. Quickly accumulate relevant data through the MODA scale and MODA watch, by connecting to the app. Then, by utilizing the MODA app, individuals can easily spend time with professionals to get up-to-date advice without the need to be in the same room, or even the same continent.

DESIGN CONCEPT

The visual identity features an alluringly rendered colour gradient as the main design element; in fact, this vibrant palette is derived from a combination of two natural phenomena - Polar night & Midnight sun, which is the metaphor of unceasing and omnipresent connection between MODA’s subscribers and professionals. Polygon graphic is aptly used as an elegant expression of cohesive network connection as well as the intricacies of big data - diet plans and exercise routines. The letterform "M" extruded with negative space ingeniously depicts the new dimension of advanced healthcare technology.
